Stunning views and a great open space run by amazing volunteers in the community of Seaforth, Nova Scotia!
🌟 Heartfelt Thanks We are deeply grateful to everyone—members and non‑members alike—who helps Seaforth Hall continue to thrive.
A very special thank‑you goes to Kenny Crowell, a true community icon. His dedication to growing potatoes, carrots, and cabbage—turned into his famous sauerkraut—along with Eleanor and the Roo for their beautiful homemade brown bread, Chris for his time and pickling skills, Chef Joy for her energy in the kitchen, and Theresa, Aimee, Mary, Stephanie, Heather, Jean, and the many other pie makers, as well as all who donate goods or funds, and the countless volunteers—together you have helped make our Dutchman’s Dinner one of the best meals and most successful fundraising efforts on the shore for decades.
Our appreciation also extends to the Nieforth family, who passed the torch to Chris “the Kid”, and to all our pie makers, potato growers, paddle‑wielding bidders, and the next generation who keep the Potato Weigh‑Off going strong as our most enjoyed annual fundraiser.
We are grateful to Marlene and Gordon, who bring magic to the Kids’ Merry Little Christmas, and to Eleanor, whose legendary blueberry pie and decades of volunteer service continue to keep cherished traditions alive.
We cannot forget our local potter Iris, who blesses us from time to time with her delicious Belgian waffles.
A heartfelt thank‑you to the Volunteer Fire Department for their recent support toward safety improvements and upkeep at the hall. And we must also acknowledge David Hendsbee, whose ongoing support—and Santa suit—have been truly invaluable.
To Tracy for Lego Day, Sam for Sam’s Jam, and all those who give their time to create fun, meaningful events for our community—thank you.
To Acre Alley, for bringing incredible musical talent to our little corner of the world, and to all the instructors who make the hall a place to stay active and connected—your contributions matter.
To Tonya, many thanks for keeping clear pathways to our propane tanks, and to Caralee and Aimee, who are always there in the shadows, helping whoever calls, whenever needed.
To the many families who choose Seaforth Hall for their celebrations and life events, thank you for trusting us with your memories.
To our past and present board members, executive, and volunteers, your dedication keeps the hall afloat and ensures it remains the heart of our community.
And finally, to everyone who contributes in ways big and small—please know your support never goes unnoticed. We love you all and look forward to many more years of community togetherness.
